I remember my first bike. Well, technically my second, but first just a little 80cc dirt 'that I had as a child. So let me start from scratch. I remember my first road bike. It was a gift from my grandfather. The bike was sitting in the garage for years and practically destroyed the concrete floor, most of the rust. Bikes are a 1966 Honda Scrambler 305 (C/77). I remember sitting there as a child, and even take pictures sitting on it with my two brothers. I have fond memories of this bike. I always wanted a bike that's why I sometimes ask my grandfather about it. Then, before I knew it was mine. The title was signed over and I first classic Honda. The only problem is that it does not work ...
I have never worked on a motorcycle before then and if I am a bit 'intimidated. But the desire to learn and curious to see how all of this, I finally began to work apart, piece by piece. Most of the parts on the bike, I do not know what they are doing or what has been called. But slowly through, learn more here and there. I went so far that I even covered the entire transmission. I have teeth and everything, talk about jumping right in.
Many of the motorcycle needed replacement. I have a very hard time finding original parts for motorcycles and the previous example. Is not available for many areas, at least not where I want. For those of you wondering, it means that the OEM Original Equipment Manufacturer. Basically, the original parts. I looked around some Honda dealerships but even their old stock is very limited part. For most of the pieces that I can not find parts from OEM and custom I actually finished or just me.
This is after the first meeting with the reconstruction of the bike that I learned that to be an excellent resource for finding hard to find parts is more than worthwhile. You can save time and frustration in searching countless stores demolition sites, other websites. I'm curious about the weather bikebandit.com.
As I said, I really could use at that time was a place like bikebandit.com. This shop has a variety of OEM parts for Honda. and other bikes and toys, it's almost hard to believe. And when they shop around and buy all the existing parts Honda motorcycle OEM. This store is truly an indispensable resource for anyone rebuilding a Honda or other motorcycle from scratch, or just to replace some parts.
